Diese Prognose basiert auf Preisverleihungen im Vorfeld der Oscars, auf Erfahrungen früherer Oscar-Verleihungen, auf Gerüchten und Trends und nicht zuletzt auf Tagesform-abhängiger Intuition. Die Liste sollte deshalb nicht als Grundlage irgendwelcher Entscheidungen verwendet werden, z.B. Kauf eines neuen Regals für den zu erwartenden Oscar, Wetteinsatz bei Londoner Buchmachern etc. In den letzten Jahren lag ich nicht völlig daneben, vgl. Oscar-Archiv, aber auch nie komplett richtig. Sonst hätte ich doch längst nen Job in Hollywood. Deshalb, an sich unnötig zu erwähnen: Keine Gewähr für irgendwas.

Hervorgehoben: Ab Februar die Favoriten, später die Oscar-Gewinner.
Die durchgestrichenen Titel wurden als mögliche Kandidaten gehandelt, fielen dann aber bei den Oscar-Nominierungen (22.01.2008) durch. Kursivschrift bedeutet, dass dieser Film in dieser Kategorie mehr oder weniger überraschend nominiert wurde.
